Pinched Control Harness Results in “Fail-to-Rotate” and “Frequency Range” Faults.

All “Charlie” units.

On start attempts or during start-up of your turbogenerator, you may experience a series of "Fail-to- Rotate" and/or "Frequency Range" faults.

Some controllers have been found to have a pinched cable internal to the controller. The pinch in this cable gives rise to the possibility of erroneous and/or nuisance faults of the system. Generally, these faults are "Frequency Range" faults as soon as a "Start" is commanded but, they also may be "Fail-to-Rotate" faults after a "Start" is commanded and the rotor begins to rotate.
